Microgaming loves inserting a great theme into their games – indeed, some would say that they’re the masters of doing exactly that – and that’s what you can expect from Cool Wolf, together with all the great gameplay and bonus features that are virtually a given on any Microgaming title. The theme in question is effectively a throwback to the 80s, where movie makers seemingly thought that the idea of a teenage boy turning into a werewolf during a full moon was an everyday occurrence. By day, the kid is just about as nerdy as you could imagine, but when the moon is out he instantly becomes cool, not to mention a bit hairier than even a regular teenager.

The graphics and sounds are all spot on but where this game manages to shine early on is through the gameplay, with 243 ways to win being increasingly common yet always desirable. That makes for plenty of chances to line up a win on each spin and the process can be made even easier thanks to the Cool Wolf logo. It’s the wild card and that’s not all as you can squeeze even more value out of those 243 ways to win thanks to the fact that it can come along in full stacks on reels three, four and five.

Rolling Reels and Howling Wilds
